Kara Ward
Adirondack Middle School - 7th Grade
Kara Ward is a 7th grader who excels in many mediums in art class. She is a very talented artist and was able to complete two beautifully executed clay pots. Kara created a coil pot and a pinch pot with a cobra theme. All the students did a great job with this project and Kara's was exceptional. She demonstrated mastery with coiling and pinch pot techniques. Kara can always be seen sketching during her free time and has shown interest in the visual arts. She is also a member of ACS Middle School Art Club and Student Council. Congratulations, Kara!

Olivia Tierno
Adirondack High School - 12th Grade
Olivia, senior, is an outstanding musician and is very dedicated to her music activities at Adirondack. She performs on clarinet, bass clarinet, and tenor saxophone in Concert Band, Jazz Band, Musical Pit Orchestra, and has been adjudicated in two NYSSMA Solo Festivals every year. Qualifying as a member of the Zone 4 Area All-State Band this year for the third year in a row is a testament to her skill as a musician. Olivia will be graduating in 2017 and plans to pursue a degree in nursing.

Kylee Myers
Boonville Elementary School - 3rd Grade
Kylee is a confident and talented musician in the music classroom as well as in her everyday life. Outside of school, Kylee plays piano and sings with the Adirondack Community Youth Choir. Next year she looks forward to playing flute in band and is excited to join chorus when she gets to fifth grade. Kylee always has a smile on her face and is kind to everyone she meets. She works hard in music and is an excellent role model for her peers.
