Vocal Arts
McKenzie Spoor
Adirondack High School - 11th Grade
Adirondack High School Vocalist, McKenzie Spoor is a junior, presently. She is a member of Evergreen and Concert Choir. She attended the Area All-State Music Festival in the fall. Currently, she is rehearsing the role of Irene Molloy and is the student director for “Hello Dolly”, this year's musical. Last spring, she was a NYSSMA (New York State School Music Association) participant, and received a score of “99” on a level 6 (the highest level) solo. McKenzie has been singing since the age of 3 when she used to stand on a stool and perform for family and friends, pretending that she was an opera singer. As a high school student, she likes the challenge of perfecting her art, whether it's on a solo or a musical production number. McKenzie says “I'm glad we have the program that we do. I've had a lot of opportunities at Adirondack”. She says that the music realm at ACS is very welcoming, and that she feels at home in such a special place.
