The school district would like to provide you with the following procedures and protocol in regards to a bus accident within the district. Please remember that you will not be called immediately. However, if your child needs to be transported to the hospital, we will make every effort to contact you.

911 is called by the bus driver and/or bus dispatcher.

Transportation Personnel calls school nurse, superintendent and building administrator.

District Personnel will go to the scene of the accident.

Parents of students who were on the bus will be notified from the scene if their child needs to be transported to the hospital.

All other parents of students who were on the bus will be notified after the students arrive at their home school and have been reevaluated by the school nurse.

If your child is not injured, notification of parents will take some time and will be done in the most efficient manner.
